Acosta takes first win in chaotic Thailand Sprint.

Marco Bezzecchi on pole, with reigning champion Marc Marquez next to him and the Traclkhouse rider of Raúl Fernández in third. With only two rookies on the grid in Toprak Razgatlioglu and Diogo Moreira, it’s looking to be a competitive year.

M Marquez took the lead into turn one away from Bezzecchi, who soon came back at him and took the lead at the end of lap one.

Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio went wide at turn 3 on lap one, as A Marquez tried to overtake but had to take avoiding action to avoid the Trackhouse of Raúl Fernández.

Lap 2, Bezzecchi went down after he just dipped too low, allowing M Marquez to take the lead with Pedro Acosta chasing him down.

Jorge Martin couldn’t seem to move forward on his Aprilia after qualifying fifth; he was fighting with both of the Trackhouse bikes, but couldn’t make progress.

Acosta and M Marquez were fighting all race, changing positions, diving down the inside and trying to switch back on each other after every overtake.

Lap 11, M Marquez and Acosta came to blows when M Marquez went down the inside of the last corner, meaning Acosta had to go wide and off the track, meaning M Marquez led the race.

The stewards deemed the move not allowed; therefore, M Marquez had to drop back and give the place back to Acosta.

Pedro Acosta won his first race in the championship and is the first KTM rider to ever lead the championship, Marc Marquez second, and Trackhouse rider Raúl Fernández finished third to set the first top three of the season.
