Formula E – Rookie test

Formula E are set to hold a rookie test in Madrid straight after the inaugural Madrid E-Prix held next month (22nd March).

The rookie test is held for drivers who hold an international grade B licence. It allows them to showcase what they can do for a potential full-time seat in the near future.

Previous rookie tests have seen the likes of Abbi Pulling, F1 Academy champion, Gabrieli Mini, Formula 2 driver, Paul Aron, Alpine F1 reserve driver, and many more take part.

Teams are yet to confirm who will be taking part in the rookie test, but it is believed Nissan will run Abbi Pulling as she is their rookie and simulator driver.

Previous rookie test drivers have gone on to have full-time seats with the likes of Zane Maloney, Pepe Martí and Taylor Barnard.

More announcements to come in the coming weeks.
