With Dan Rowbottom announced for Plato Racing, rival teams are following along to announce their drivers for the 2026 season.
NAPA Racing UK had a seat available due to Rowbottom’s departure; they have since filled that seat with Mini Challenge JCW Driver Lewis Selby.
Selby has been a name in the Touring Car paddock for a few years. He was sponsored by NAPA while he drove in the Mini Challenge championship.
Selby will be making his mark in the UK’s premier motorsport series this year.
Speaking to the BTCC, Selby said: “It’s a dream come true.
“I never really considered the BTCC as an option, but due to various events, I was asked and immediately said yes!”

Power Maxed Racing have also made a new driver choice in Scotsman Dexter Patterson.
Patterson raced with Unlimited Motorsport last year alongside Nicholas Hamilton and Max Hall.
Power Maxed Racing had a tough few months after a fire burned down their HQ, their beloved Astra was burned, teams pitched in to help them out, and they were gifted some CUPRAs to finish the season.
This year, they will run an all-new Audi S3.
Speaking to the BTCC, Patterson said: “The move to the Audi S3 makes this a fresh project for everyone, and that’s something that really motivated me.
“The goal is to start strongly, keep building momentum, and make sure we’re fighting consistently at the front end of the grid.”
More announcements still to come, with Plato Racing yet to announce the second driver.
