Today, Formula E and CUPRA have announced they will have the Spanish performance brand as the title and founding partner of the 2026 Formula E Madrid E-Prix, which takes place on 21st March 2026.
CUPRA have helped bring ABB Formula E to the Spanish capital to strengthen the brand’s mission to make electric mobility more visible.
During the E-Prix, fans will have the opportunity to see the all-new electric CUPRA Raval up close in the fan zone during the day.
Speaking to Formula E, Markus Haupt, CEO of CURPA, said: “Formula E in Madrid represents a new benchmark for Spain.
“We are bringing the thrill and emotion of the world’s most exciting electric racing competition to a wider audience.”

Haupt believes that bringing Formula E to Madrid is a key moment for the brand and for the CUPRA Kiro racing team.
Spanish racing driver Josep ‘Pepe’ Maria Martí, also known as Pepe Martí, is a rookie driver for the CURPA Kiro team.
Carmelo Sanz, RACE President and FIA Vice President, said: “CUPRA’s commitment to bringing Formula E to Madrid is helping strengthen the link between innovation and real-world experience.
“Jarama (Madrid circuit) today stands as the clearest example of how motorsport can honour its history while leading the way to a more sustainable and responsible mobility.”
